It's been sad to see several bloggers decide not to post anymore but it was kind of them to tell us and not leave us wondering what had happened to them.
Because I only write when I have something special to say, I take very long breaks and it is always hard to get back after a break.
But I enjoy other people's blogs and this is my contribution to the blogosphere. Like all bloggers I love reading comments. Non bloggers may not know that we can see the number of visitors we have (but not their identity) and I find it amazing what a high proportion of visitors have no inclination to comment. I wonder why? Is it too complicated? I know some blogging platforms are more complicated than others. Are they deterred because some blogs (not this one) don't publish comments until after the blogger has approved them? Personally I delete comments which are obviously intended to advertise betting or escort services but very rarely anything else but other bloggers have had big problems with inappropriate comments so pre approval is understandable.
For it is commenters and fellow bloggers who make the effort worthwhile. Thank you for reading.
Yes, it is definitely WORTH IT!
I still love blogging after 14 years, my topics have changed as my life changes, but I love to read other blogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm really sad about the blogs that have stopped but I just like writing and places I used to write for no longer exist so blogging is the answer. But have to admit that I'm sometimes very bad at commenting elsewhere as it's a toss up between that and planning my own posts !
ReplyDeleteWith anywhere up to 800 page views each day I am very glad everyone doesn't comment!
I have had mixed feelings about blogging lately; strugglingly as to what to post and how personal to get. I have never been successful doing a daily post unless I preplan it. As Christmas approaches I'll likely take a break and see what the new year has in store for me.
ReplyDeleteI don’t have a Google account and many blogs won’t let you comment without one / anonymously so I have got out of the habit of trying now. Thank you for blogging though; I always read your posts and enjoy them. Helen
ReplyDeleteIt is sometimes difficult to think of anything fresh and interesting to write about. I tend to limit my posts now to about one every couple of weeks. How people post every day I dont know, but I admire them for it.
ReplyDeleteReally this is my second blog, the first one got frozen for some odd, unknown to me reason. I kind of use my blog as a diary of my daily life. It can be boring, but life is not always exciting either. I have met so many wonderful people through blogging.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I think I've only commented here once. I check for new posts every once in a while, and then do a catch up if I've missed several. I only read on my phone, and commenting is a bit of a pain because I can only see one line at a time, so I limit the blogs I comment on to those I've read the longest. But I do appreciate your blog very much. Thank you for writing as you do.
