They take me
from the kitchen to the sitting room, from the sitting room to the bedroom and occasionally (on dry days only) outside to
the bin.
Autumn makes
slippers even more appealing. The mornings are cooler, the evenings arrive
earlier and the floor suddenly feels much colder than it did in August.
As I said,
slippers are one of the privileges of retirement. They go with woolly jumpers, maybe a throw or
two and a warm drink. And a very
smug/snug feeling. How about you?

I agree that slippers are are nice and warm. I got rid of my pair of slippers, last year, because they were worn out and I haven't replaced them. I do tend to wear knitted socks more than slippers, though.

DeleteI tend to poddle about barefoot in the summer and with socks on in autumn and spring. And thicker woolly socks in winter!
