It was one of my favourite days of the month today - I went to Mandy's aka Dunholme Crafter. I came home with four cards having had a lovely morning chatting and doing some papercraft.
So, here you are
With a little bit of luck Mandy has found this post with the greatest of ease as, just for once, I was able to show my appreciation for the things she teaches me by showing her a couple of things on her computer.
Hi Mandy
These are all beautiful pieces of art!
ReplyDeleteDid you take a class or is it something that you just picked up on your own? I'm not terribly crafty although this is something that I would like to learn more about.
Beautiful cards!! What a lovely way to spend a morning. Cheers, Nanny Anny in Canada.
ReplyDeleteBlogger won't let me reply under each comment today but Margie, I go to the monthly workshops which Mandy runs. She designs the cards which we then each make. Yesterday just two of us joined her and Flo-The-Dog and had a lovely nattery morning.
ReplyDeleteThere is also a lot of inspiration on line for card making.
Thank you - I will check online and then see if there are any listings for classes around town. So much more personal!
DeleteYou might have more luck by visiting a craft store. If you have a small independent store near you, that would be the best bet. Obviously I don't know about Canada but here there are sometimes notice boards and craft shop staff would also know.
DeleteThe cards are so very professional.
ReplyDeleteThose cards are beautiful: you are getting more and more proficient at making them, Mary. I particularly like the flower cards and it has given me inspiration to paint some myself I have a stock of blank cards left over from a previous spell of card.notelet making so no excuses for delay!
ReplyDeleteThe flower cards are actually made with stamps! The one with blue flowers involved two stamps, designed to be used together but allowing two colours of stamping ink to be used. The hydrangea was stmped in black to create an outline and then coloured using water colour pencils and a water brush.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! You certainly have a talent for cardmaking -- I enjoy seeing your creativity!
