You won't believe this!

I didn’t want to write anything else until I had finished his shoes.  One got knitted yesterday, the second this afternoon.  At a rough guess these are at least the eighth attempt.  Various people gave me gold stars for persistence yesterday – can I have a gold star for achievement today?

The next thing is to make him a second foot – one of the originals has been worn away completely as you can see.   I bought a child’s tee shirt at a charity shop last week and have decided to make a pair of socks.  They will be sewn on permanently and the left sock will be stuffed.  I wonder how many other teddy bears have a prosthesis?

  1. Totally agree a gold star for achievement.

  2. Hi, I have just discovered you through Pam's blog A New Life in Wales. I have had a wonderful read of both your blogs and am now following you! You have such a lovely way of writing that appeals to me. Maybe because I am frugally challenged down under! Oops I mean NZ! lol

    1. Hi Zana, lovely to have you here! You are my first follower from NZ - I hear it's a truly lovely country.

  3. YAY! A teddy with a prosthesis, haha. What a neat thought
