Quirky Garden

Not from here is the Walled Garden at Baumber.  It's one of the quirkiest gardens I've ever visited.

The tea room and snack shack are both built from reclaimed doors and windows.

Despite being several miles from the sea there are beach huts and a boat.

And, despite being thousands of miles from Egypt there's a Pharaoh and a crocodile.

I shall be going back very soon!

  1. Love the shack from reclaimed windows. My cousin is currently building a greenhouse from recycled windows but I doubt it will be as colourful as what you saw! Hope all is well with you. Love Margaret (NZ)

  2. How neat. I could have built something with all the doors we found in the barn!

  3. I like that crocodile, it looks rather realistic. The garden looks like a fun place to visit.

    1. Get thee there! Totally free, including parking. Only restriction is that you can't take your own food in.
