Central Bark

I went to Clumber Park today - the first time I have been more than three miles from home in over 130 days.  Clumber is a delightful National Trust property about forty miles away.

Most of the time I just sat and people watched.  Or bird watched.  Or sewed.

There were plenty of birds to watch, especially waterfowl.

People kept a good distance and behaved sensibly

There were beautiful flowers even in the kitchen garden

This one's for Rambler.  And Benji.
And I was amused to find a new dog-friendly cafe

  1. A dog friendly cafe, I like that, and to see people behaving sensibly, which they do in my area too. We are required to wear masks, and most do. I went to an outdoor church service yesterday and everyone wore masks and sat six feet apart. Delightful to see friends and worship together.

  2. I hope the dog-friendly cafe is friendlier than the one we encountered in Cornwall!!! Were there toilets open? When I ventured to  Cotehele Benji and I had a lovely wander through the woods but the toilets were closed.  Good job I wasn't far from home. Lovely. colourful flowers in that kitchen garden. I'm sure you enjoyed the freedom of venturing further than you've been in a long while. xx

  5. Look at all those Canada Geese. I did not realize they traveled all the way to England as well.

The flowers are beautiful and I am glad all are behaving well, it isn't so here. Lots swear that they will never wear a mask and social distancing is slowly becoming a thing of the past.

    God bless.

  7. It's nice to be able to get out and have days away from home again, especially if people are behaving sensibly and keeping their distance. Good to see dog friendly places, there's so many places we have to avoid because dogs aren't allowed.
