Before I went to the candle decorating session on Saturday, it had been quite a long time since I had been to a craft workshop but yesterday I went to another, this time for needle felting.
I don't really like needle felting (I don't like wet felting either) but the group needed to make up the numbers so I went. It was the usual chatty sort of thing and we all made poppies.
And we had coffee and various home made cakes.
And we planned a pre-Christmas lunch together.
And I brought home a felted poppy.
All very lovely.
But I still don't like needle felting.

You've just reminded me that I was given a needle felting kit some time ago... I should try it and see what I think 🤔
ReplyDeleteThe poppies looked good
Yes, I think they all looked good. Thank you.
DeleteI do love needle felting, but not wet felting, I'm not to good at it but I do enjoy having a go.
ReplyDeleteI'm one for having a go, too. But not my choice of craft.
DeleteSnap-I don’t like wet or dry felting because the wool itches my hands but I do like the results. Lovely poppy. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI just find it tedious! But thank you for your comment.
DeleteLove your poppy but I too, dislike needle felting.

Ah, a friend!
DeleteNever done anything like that. what will you use that for?
ReplyDeleteIt is customary here to wear a poppy in memory of our war dead, especially around Armistice Day (11th November).
DeleteI have never done any type of felting and while I like many of the items I have seen I don't think I would enjoy the fussiness of it too much. The poppy is lovely and like you we in Canada always wear a Poppy on November 11th. I am not too sure if Americans do though.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you. I wonder what symbol they wear?
DeleteThe poppies you and your crafting friends made are lovely. I haven't done any needle felting, but, my daughter has and she enjoys it. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it can be a lovely craft to do while chatting with friends but personally I just enjoy the chatting.
