A couple of weeks ago I said that each Wednesday I would write about my Christmas preparations and so far I've done no such thing. I do have some excuse - my sewing machine had to go to the sewing machine hospital (again!) and some of the things I have made have been for someone who might just read my blog.
However, yesterday I went to a lovely crafting day and I made a few Christmas cards. Here you go!
(I couldn't resist that title for a post!)
I LOVE them! It's really hot outside today (and the past several days) and thus it feels further from Christmas then it could ever be and yet this post has really made me smile immensely thinking about a new Christmas season that will sooner than we could imagine truly be upon us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that reminder!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely cards.
I think I might like card making. Those are lovely and while I can't quite think Christmas yet, you have a great start.
ReplyDeleteOh my it will be here before we know it Ha! ha! Beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteThose cards are very stylish. Oh dear, I think about Christmas about the beginning of December - then panic.
ReplyDeleteThe ears of being a vicar taught me to get the predictable things (like Christmas cards) sorted preferably by the end of October although that didn't often happen. That left space for spontaneity in December.
DeleteThat should be "years of being a vicar"!
DeleteWell, I don't know! Listening as a vicar is just as important as the services and sermons. I used to enjoy churchgoing but London churches - terrible generalisation, sorry - now tend towards microphones and a lot of jumping about.
DeleteWe do a 'pilgrimage' to Canterbury Cathedral each year - not along the Pilgrim's way, but from a car park - I think He will understand though.
My ears stand rebuked!!!!
DeleteI think you must be a really good vicar - it requires lots of skills as well as your faith x
DeleteLovely cards! 130 days -- well, I am happy to say I have gotten a start on my shopping. I don't do all that much --almost everybody has gotten to the cash stage but I have started giving it some thought so when you post "only 10 days 'til Christmas" I won't be in the midst of a severe panic requiring intervention!
