The hibernaculum is coming on nicely, thank you for asking.
I've made my sitting room extra cosy with the new fireplace and "pretend" fire. The electric throw which I bought a couple of years ago helps, and I have reduced the amount of stuff which is visible. I already had a set of LED candles and I've ordered a second set. The overhead light rarely goes on and I rely on small lamps. It's all very calming.

| Fantastic hibernaculum |
Hibernaculum:- winter quarters for Roman soldiers; a place for over-wintering plants; the lair of a wintering animal.

Your hibernaculum sounds very cozy and warm. That was a win-win-win situation with the fabric! Well done!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great!
DeleteAnd the planet 🌍 wins - fewer bags to landfill!
ReplyDeleteAh, the influence of my hibernaculum spreads far and wide!
DeleteHow very cosy! There are some pretty sets of Tealights on the market, would they add to the ambience?
ReplyDeleteProbably. I shall see if I want anything else when I have got the second set of candles.
DeleteGreat news about your surplus fabric-I make lots of borrow/buy for £1 bags for the charity where I volunteer. It’s mild and damp here at the moment so we are clearing out the garage in the hope that we can get it more organised. We’ll pay for an uplift from a registered provider. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI was really excited to find that particular outlet.
DeleteWe've switched completely to electric candles... I miss the magic of lighting them, but love the convenience of remote controls and timers
ReplyDeleteThe new ones have now arrived and the whole effect is wonderful.
DeleteWell done with the fabric. Wins all around for all. I will be purchasing a set of insulated curtains for my sewing/craft room and working on getting rid of some more yarn through knitting mittens for our oldest son's school. Children always seem to forget or lose their mittens in the winter.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I think it was well done all round with the fabric.
