I had planned a small barbecue lamb chop including a lamb chop, just for myself last night. I think the last time I had a barbecue was about eight years ago so I was really looking forward to this one. It was to be just for me, in my garden.
So what happened? After two weeks of hot dry weather, the heavens opened. The chop (lamb chops are a very rare treat for me as they are so expensive) has gone into the freezer, baked beans for tea instead. The beef burgers I’d also planned had already been frozen and defrosted so they’ll be cooked indoors today. Not quite the same.
Today I had planned to sew. I had thoughts of some sort of trousers for Bobo and maybe working on the tee shirt I started on Wednesday. So what happens? The sewing machine has a hissy fit and I shall have to take it to the sewing machine hospital next week. Bobo continues to sit in the corner dressed only in a sweater.
Working on the principle that these things always happen in threes something else is bound to happen. If you are reading this you will know that it isn’t that I failed to get on t’interweb. But as yet I don’t know. I think I’ll find out now.
