My latest joy is AI. It collates all sorts of information. I've just asked it about 22nd November in history.
Did you know that on this date in 498AD St. Symmachus became pope? Neither did I and I shall forget very quickly.
It is said that everyone can remember what they were doing on this date in 1963 as that was the date President Kennedy was assassinated. I am an exception to that rule as I have no idea.
I can remember a little more about 22nd November 1990 as that was the date that Margaret Thatcher resigned as Prime Minister. I think many of us had thought her tenure would never end.
And on this day in 2005 Angela Merkel became Chancellor of Germany.
Makes my plans for 22nd November 2025 look very mundane. I can feel more rabbit hole wanderings coming on.

Today is my grandson Georges 6th birthday, I will never forget this date.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, George! Have a lovely day and give grandma a big slice of cake!
DeleteI remember taking the morning newspaper up to the room my two oldest half-brothers shared and the oldest brother exclaiming that President Kennedy was dead. I had just turned 8 and had no idea who President Kennedy was, but, earlier that year, 1963, my father had died and somehow I always remembered what I was doing when I learned about President Kennedy's death.
ReplyDeleteI remember the disbelief after the day but don't remember the day.
DeleteI was a 13 year old going round collecting the milk money for my neighbour who delivered milk when I heard that JFK had been shot. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI was 10 and with my Dad at his Badminton Club when another member came in and said Kennedy had been shot and I can remember the next day at school, the boys arguing about how many bullets killed him!!! Take care. Xx
ReplyDeleteI can't remember any of those events. My favourite rabbit hole is Pintrest especially when I am looking for craft or cooking ideas.

I was 8. My dad had been down to the church to see the Boys Brigade, and somebody ran in and said JFK was dead. Dad came straight home to tell Mum.
ReplyDeleteI believe I was at school when JFK died. I know I came home to Mom glued to the TV.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
